Rare Atkins Clock Co. Bristol, Conn. "Equalizing Spring 30 THIRTY DAY CLOCK".
Thus reads the label on this fine clock. This clock has a rosewood case with ripple moldings, as it should and it retains both ivory knobs. It has been nicely refinished and there are only a few quite minor veneer nicks. The reverse decorated tablet is original with some flaking. The painted zinc dial is in exceptionally good shape. It has the original barbed hands and brass pendulum. The bright yellow label is excellent. The round brass movement mounts to a cast iron frame. It is a 30 day double fusee timepiece. I just found this clock so I have not had time to check the running condition but the movement is very clean and the fusee cords are connected so that is a pretty good indication that things are ok. A board was added to the back of the clock to give extra insurance that the heavy movement would be mounted solidly. 25" tall.
