Rare Forestville Hardware and Clock Company porcelain shelf clock.
This clock must have been dropped because there are numerous cracks that have been reglued. However, it is such a rare model that I simply had to have it. Actually, the cracks were so poorly glued that soaking them apart and then doing a proper job would improve the looks a great deal. It has the original brass bezel. Obviously the painted dial is badly flaking but enough remains to have a correct pattern for the repaint. Note there is a seconds dial at the bottom. The hands are improper replacements. There is a wood box behind the front and it has the original white paint. The label covers the entire back. It is worn at the bottom but enough is clear so the maker's name is quite visible. This is a 30 hour balance timepiece. It is ticking so the escapement is good but it does not stay running. 9" tall.
