It is not perfect, but you do not know how close it came to staying in my collection. This clock cannot help but increase in value over the years. First the bad; the second hand is not correct, a recast lead weight, some of the paint on the tablet was scraped away, and there is some rough veneer on the bezel. That is all. There are plenty of good things to brag about. My favorite is the embossed pendulum bob signed, "Seth Thomas Clock Co. / Plymouth Hollow, Ct.", and several other things embossed on the bob also. The complete black and gold label on the weight chute partition is signed the same. There is a complete paper beat scale at the bottom, and it is extremely rare to find all those things in this good condition. Gold pendulum stick, large hands, door lock with key, and the original repainted dial, are all original to the clock. Rectangle unsigned 8 day weight movement is in good running condition. I have known of embossed pendulum bobs selling for almost as much as our minimum for the entire clock. I suppose if you need or want one, huh? Ly-Seth Thomas, pages 269-271.
