This is the top of the line of the Sonora Chime clocks. The cathedral top mahogany case is 18.5" high, 12.5" wide, and 9" deep. Full hinged back and front doors, cathedral windows on the sides with mahogany grill work and cloth backing. There are columns on all four corners, high grade cabinet work and a dull rubbed finish. The front door is fitted with a heavy beveled glass. Silver dial plate with an hour and minute circle that has a dull silvered finish, etched numerals and other marks are black filled. Same with the two subsidiary dials at the top for Strike-Silent and Westminster-Whittington. All hands are original and the dial is properly signed, "Seth Thomas./ Sonora Chime". The movement chimes every 15 minutes and can be switched to play either Westminster or Whittington by turning an indicator. Chimes can be silenced by a switch at side of case. This clock came to us with a collection of lower end clocks and this was his best clock. It needs to be serviced, movement cleaned, chimes adjusted, etc. to get the next century of enjoyment from this extraordinary clock. Ly-Seth Thomas No. 413.
