The advertising around the bezels is for a Louisville, Kentucky tobacco company. On the large bezel they advertised their packaged tobacco's, "Jolly Tar Pastime / Old Honesty / Plank Road". The ads on the lower part are also for their packaged tobacco's, "Compliments Of John Finzer and Bro's / Tobacco Makers / Louisville, Ky.". On the rosettes it says, "Boot Jack" and "Five Bros", also their tobacco brands. For many years they were the largest tobacco company in Louisville and eventually sold to the American Tobacco Co. The case is 31" high, has two doors with side latches, and two good glasses. The original dial has darkened and is signed, "Seth Thomas / Movement", above the hand arbor, and "W. P. Baird and Co. / Plattsburgh, N.Y .", below the arbor. The 8 day time only movement is signed, "Made by Seth Thomas Clock Co. for Edw. P. Baird and Co. N.Y. and Montreal".
