A rare model, this is only the second we have seen. This large case is 68" high and made of quarter sawn oak. It is all original, has no new parts or repairs, extra holes, etc. The case has been cleaned and polished but some smoke is still visible in the cracks and joints. The 18" painted dial is excellent, has the correct hands, pendulum, weight, and beat scale. The movement is 8 day, single weight, time only, and mounted to an iron back plate. The movement is very clean and running. A latch holds the round bezel in place and the bottom door has a key lock, but no key. Ly-Waterbury, pages 188189.
