Mahogany case is 36" high and is clean and polished. It is relatively free of any smoke or black stains. It even looks clean inside and on the back. There is a very nice painted dial, signed by Seth Thomas, and has three correct hands. There is a wood brace behind the dial as many Seth Thomas regulators have, and there are two screws thru the dial just outside the seconds ring. I do not think I have seen that brace used on the No. 2 regulators before, but are most always found on the larger regulators. The dial has some fading but very little paint loss. Signed 8 day brass movement is running. The brass bob has been polished, brass weight was not. It has the correct brass beat scale and pulley. Good original glasses, door lock, and most of the old paper label inside. Better than the average No. 2 but you will find some edge nicks, especially on the bezel. Ly-Seth Thomas, pages 276-277.
