E. N. Welch Mfg. Co. "Regulator No. 11", ca 1889.

The 60" high case is made of black walnut, a long and thin clock, clean, polished, and well maintained by the doctor who owned this clock for many years. We sold it in our October 2009 auction to a Washington, D. C. collector but he determined after receiving the clock it would not fit the space in his office where it was to hang, so he asked us to sell it. It is a super nice clock and only the 3rd or 4th I have sold in over 30 years. I kept one in my downtown office for 25 years until I decided to work from home. All wood parts are original, as are the operating parts inside including the 30 day double spring movement. It has a large signed beat scale, brass bob, long wood stick, painted dial, and three old hands. The movement is signed, clean, and running. All the No. 11's I have had were excellent running clocks and ran considerably longer than 30 days. None that I have had or seen, had a label or any evidence there ever was one. This model has always had a high book value and sought after by collectors. LyWelch No. 164.
