This old clock hung in a RR station for most of 100 years, accumulating a whole lot of smoke. You can tell from the back side it was pretty black before it got a cleaning. I guess the old dial got beat to death for they have put a new painted dial on the case. There is most of an old dirty label inside, correct hands, brass beat scale, brass bob, wood stick, brass weight, brass winding crank and door key, brass door lock, and brass ring around the glass in the door, all look to be original to this case. The oak case is 36" high, complete, and all original except for the dial pan. There is a provenance label on the back indicating the clock was serviced in 1934 and a couple of times after that. Charges were $2.50. Ly-Seth Thomas, pages 276278.
