The Ithaca Calendar Clock Company made this skeleton clock. It is the most rare of all the company's clocks.
Only a handful are known to exist. Their skeleton clock called a Box Skeleton is seen more often and sought by collectors everywhere. We have only seen three and they are the ones we have sold. This clock is an exact copy of the original calendar skeleton under dome. It is not signed of course, and we are not hyping it to be anything more than it is, a reproduction. The originals are pictured in Ly-Calendar Clocks, page 149, and are called simply a, "Skeleton" clock. It stands 19" tall without the dome in place, and 20.5" with the dome resting on the wood base. The frame, dials, hands, bell, and pendulum, are all silver plated. The clock is running and the calendar changes. If it were original we would expect it to fetch around $30,000. I have never seen a real one and do not know anyone who owns one but I hear there are a couple out there in the hands of collectors.
