The very nice case will have a couple of minute dings, the kind you will find on any old clock. Original painted dial, old hands?, and a period brass bob. Complete paper label inside. This "common" London is unusual in that it has an alarm in the lower case that rings on an iron bell. The 8 day movement strikes a coil gong, typical of most clocks made in that era. Nothing to apologize for, it is a clean and very good looking rosewood case. Personally I think it is a little dull and needing polish but that is a matter of taste.
