There are cast figures, ladies head on top three finials, strings of leaves and nuts, a shield, and four large feet. It looks to be complete and in very good condition, and I believe that strange finish is original. Metal hinged and cloth covered back door, correct pendulum, Cathedral gong, and the ever poplar round French movement signed, "Japy Freres". It strikes the gong on half hours and hours. The case is 20" high and 11" wide, and ca about 1880.
