Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, Conn., 8 day OG weight clock.
Anonymous (not verified)
24 October 2024
The mahogany veneered case is 30.5" high, has the original, now very dark, finish. Note the three glasses, all of which are old, and we believe, original to the case. Excellent label, (repair notation on the paper label - 1852) pair of very large iron weights, brass pendulum bob, brass bell with coil gong, and a seat board mounted brass 8 day movement. The movement is signed by Jerome. Pulley dust covers are in the case, not on top. There are good weight cords, and a pair of period hands. The wood dial has been repainted and there is apparently some spots filled with something to make it smooth before painting. Looks like plaster of Paris.
