Lyre type pendulum rods above the dial running to the top of the case. The mystery movement is 8 day and strikes a bell on the hours and half hours. This is a modern copy of an early French clock. The unique wood case is 28" high and has some dentil molding on the base. There are two large turned wood columns that support the top, that in turn supports the large pendulum with movement attached. There are brass capitals and bases at each end of the columns and a large cast brass piece under the top to hide the pendulum hanger.
