Not your typical Calais. They are usually plain black enameled. This one resemble adamantine. I suppose it is black and green paint on the iron case with bronze trimmings. It is 13.5" high, very nice all over, and complete. Flat glass in the sash, signed paper dial, good hands, all appear original to the case. Signed 8 day movement, half hour gong strike, original pendulum and metal back door. Ly-Ansonia No. 974.
