Early miniature steeple, reportedly made by Chauncey Jerome. Everything about the clock points to it being American made, but I have never seen an American miniature steeple, or miniature anything else with an old print inside the clock.

It is original to the case. Good old painted dial, slightly faded but certainly good to be 150 years old. The 30 hour time only movement is held to the backboard by four mounting blocks. There are two old glasses, the bottom a nice frosted glass. The mahogany veneered case is 14.5" high, old door latch, concave molding around the door, opposite around the case edge, very nice finials, and the veneer is all very good and original.
