French brass/bronze, tambour style clock, ca 1885. Cast designs of leaves, grapes, and vines over the entire case. The case is 11.5" tall, semi tambour style, 6" bowed porcelain dial, and original hands. Small chips repaired around the slow/fast arbor. Bowed and beveled glass in the brass sash. Note the stain or tarnish along the lower mat and upper part of the base. I bought some Brasso to see if it would remove the stain. It will, but will take some rubbing. You may know of a better cleaner that is better. It would be a good looking clock once it is polished. Brass hinged back door, standing gong, a round 8 day movement, and a correct pendulum. The movement is signed, "H and H / Made In France / Vincenti and Cie".
