This is typical Jerome, similar to all the other company's mantle clocks, yet so very different. Jerome never marched with the other clock makers. Note the black, gold, and purple tablet with the word, "Tuscan" painted just above the viewing port. Inside on the wall to wall near perfect label it also says, "Tuscan", as the model. The clock is 100 percent original except for the hands, one or both are not correct. The painted dial has held the paint amazingly well, the gold around the front edge is very good, slight tarnishing or fading, some red showing thru under the gilt. The movement is 8 day, running and striking on the coil gong. Very nice original rosewood case is 18" high, a nick or a bump but basically a very nice case.
