I did not take it apart to check the movement. It is a metal case, almost 8" high, metal, painted black enamel, ornaments are gilt covered, all very good but the handle is a little dark from handling. On the case front are four pieces of MOP. They appear to be glued, not embedded, but are very attractive. All the winding keys are on the back, clock is running, alarm bell underneath. Flat glass in the sash, good pair of hands, the dial looks to be paper, glasses on the sides.
