Cast iron case with original paint, base, moving eyes, beveled glass, brass sash, porcelain dial and correct hands. I would guess the clock was made in the last 25 years. I understand these were reproduced in Germany. Underneath the base, cast into the metal is, "Germany-1858". Were they trying to fool us or is that how the originals were inscribed?
