German cabinet cased clock, made by, "Haas and Soehne" (Sons) in the Black Forest, Germany, sometime in the late 1800's or early 1900's, for they went out of business by 1920.

The company's trademark is on the 8 day brass movement. Strikes a Cathedral gong, has the correct pendulum bob, and is running. Hinged and latching back door on the 11.5" high case, I assume to be made of mahogany. Originally there was some little doodad top piece, I would think a wood something, the hole now filled were it fit in the top. Large square dial pan, gilt corner ornaments, dial ring, and correct hands. Some ornaments on the wood front, original glass in the full size hinged door, but the case is very dirty/smoky, and does not appear to have ever been cleaned.
