Japanese short drop, ca around 1900. The wood case is 22" high, complete, and has some style and some trim that American drops do not have.

The 8 day movement runs and strikes a coil gong. Original dial is signed and there is a complete label on the back. The hands, pendulum, key, gong, and lower glass, are probably original, the top glass we believe to be a replacement.
