a well made, inlaid mahogany, 20th century case, with a c.1840 movement. Interestingly this clock came to us with an appraisal done by a general antiques specialist, and dating it at 1850. The modern eagle is hand carved wood, well done, painted gold. The dial is also 20th century, well done with a gold accent ring. Modern tablets, the lower one depicting a young boy fishing at a cascading brook. Height 42 inches
