Original old dry finish, no losses, veneer lifting and chipped at top rear of case. Door has separated between top and bottom sections (needs simple regluing). Old glass, "Stanwix and Congress Halls", has small flakes. Original painted metal dial is yellowed and scratched at 12, has enlarged winding holes. Paper label now dark and illegible. Movement, stamped with maker name, ticks and strikes but could use cleaning. Modern pendulum bob. This would have been made just after Welch took over the JC Brown enterprise. Overall a nice ripple example. Ht.19".
