Elisha Manross, Bristol, Conn, double steeple 8 day time and strike spring driven double fusee mvt in mahogany veneered case on ball feet with reverse painted tablets, c1845. Note heavy strap brass movement with heavy cast iron bracket for spring barrels. the finish is original and has been well rubbed down and there are two veneer repairs, one on the rear of the steeple and a mismanaged repair to the right of the door. The two rear ball feet are replacements. The dial is original and in great condition with little loss or flaking and the well detailed tablets are also original and excellent with little loss.
