euphoria over the great look on this clock is compromised when you remove the dial to reveal that the movement has been changed to a slightly later one. You can see that it was originally a striker, a circular pattern and scars from the original bell, and the case back to the right of that has been cut out for a hammer. There are some veneer chips in the bezel above 12. The dial has been repainted. Would be closer to $8000 if the movement was original. Height 36 inches
