refinished case with replaced finials and lower base below plinth restored and rear legs replaced, the dial has streaks of tarnish that could be cleaned off, the glass in the door of hood is cracked near the bottom left corner. Aaron Miller is listed in Spittler and Bailey's "American Clockmakers and Watchmakers" as hailing from Elizabethtown, N.J. c1747 and advertising in N.Y. city as a maker of clocks in the best manner as well as a fabricator of compasses chains for surveyors and church bells of any size. Height 90 inches
