Banjo attributed to Simon Willard 8 day weight driven time only movement with Willard's distinct T-bridge suspension and fillister retaining screws in mahogany case with cross banded veneer accents and side arms, c1815 original finish on case in overall excellent condition with one small chip in bottom left side, missing the knob on the bottom door. The tablet picturing a young shepherdess tending to a lamb and the throat glasses are in original condition with almost no losses. The original hand wrought barbed hands are in excellent condition. The only minor detractions are a well done professionally repainted dial and an appropriately replaced lead banjo weight with duck-billed hook. Height 33 inches
