the case and graining are original and excellent. The bottom tablet was properly restored some time ago to match the original throat glass. The hands, dial, weight, pendulum and tie down are all original. The signature on the painted dial is a little weak and the numerals have been strengthened (the Dial House could improve this with careful restoration). Overall a good, clean example of the #3. Note this movement is double signed with proper Howard and Davis signature on left and with E. Howard and Co, Boston, to the right, making it easy to date the clock just after Ed Howard bought out his partner in 1857. Height 38 inches
