American, for Tiffany and Co., New York 8 day, quarter chiming, 3-weight, playing Westminster tune on 5 tubes in a mahogany case with reeded corner columns on both the broken arch hood with center final and the trunk. Has Durfee chime tubes. The silvered and brass dial has moon phase, serpentine hands, silent / chime selector, raised brass numerals and intricately cut and applied floral spandrels and center, c1900 the case retains its excellent original finish. The dial has some minor discoloration. Note cartouche above 6 engraved with "Tiffany and Co." All the 5 tubes signed with Durfee signature and patent dates. At that time Durfee held the US patent rights for these tubes, and supplied several of the clock companies. Approximate ht 96"
