Aaron Brokaw, Bridgetown, New Jersey tall clock 8 day time and strike weight driven movement with unusual count wheel strike in mahogany and mahogany veneer case with rounded corner columns and typical New Jersey mid-panel and painted metal dial with date, c1795 the case has been refinished and has a repair to the left and right rear feet and veneer chips on the lower apron. There is loss of paint on the dial under the signature and minor flaking elsewhere. The hands, pendulum and weights are original. The center finial is a replacement and the smaller side finials are absent. The movement needs cleaning but ticks and strikes. Aaron Brokaw is also listed as working in Elizabethtown, New Jersey.
