this clock is in outstanding original condition with original painted surface. The top hinge on lower door has been moved one inch. For details on this particular model, see the book Baird Advertising Clocks, by Jerry Maltz (1998), pages 94-95. The full ad reads: "Vanner and Prest's, Molliscorium, Compo-Embrocation, VP trade mark". The inner label has even more information, including the address of V+P on Ormside St, London, SE. Ht 30 1/2"
