Daniel Pratt, Jr., Reading Mass., 30 hour time and strike wood movement half column and splat shelf clock, c1837. mahogany veneered case in an old and grungy finish in poor condition. This clock was probably intended for the Canadian market as evidenced by the unusual lion and unicorn splat. The chimneys and caps are not original, but look to have been added a long time ago. The painted wood dial may not be original to this clock, but is a period dial. The later tablet came from a different clock as a frame was made to fit it into this case. The feet were likely old additions. Ht 36"
