the case is earlier, c1875, but the movement is an obvious later replacement (note filled holes in backboard and modern straps added to movement to attach it to the case. Movement is dated 2 - 29 which is Feb. 1929. Original dial would have been painted, but this one looks to be paper which has discolored slightly. The brass bezel has a few little dents. The open spring movement ticks and strikes but could need cleaning. Diameter 18" overall
