M.(Mark) Barr, Lanark, Scotland brass 8 day time and strike longcase clock movement, painted dial and pendulum, c1836 generally good, the painted arch top dial (14 1/2" wide x 20 1/2" high) has the four seasons represented and named in its corners, and has a lovely scene in its top with a woman, man and boat, small losses. The listed maker name is clear on the darkened dial with just small losses at the mounting posts, margin and a few other spots. The movement, mounted directly to the dial with no false plate, is a typical one of the period; with its pulleys and top bell. The pendulum bob is nicely decorated. The seat board is new wood, and there are no weights Looks complete but has not been tested.
