George A. Jones and Co. of New York City, "Parisian" walnut 8 day time and strike parlor clock, c1874

this clock was made by George A. Jones and Co. of New York City as the label states. Jones built a factory at Bristol, CT in 1871 to build these shelf clocks. The factory closed when Jones died in 1881. The unusual pendulum is correct and used on Jones clocks. The dial is stamped with Ansonia at its bottom is newer, otherwise the clock looks old and original with an old G.A. Jones label on the back and old S/F printed pendulum. The movement should be cleaned. Ht 23"
