Winterhalder and Hofmeier, for Bailey, Banks and Biddle, Philadelphia, 8 day quarter striking mahogany and beveled glass mantel clock, c1900 this is an unusual clock in very nice condition. The thick beveled glass panels are fine, the silvered dial is clear and shiny, and the wood appears to have an old glowing patina. This is a balance-wheel clock with jeweled platform, and it gongs bim-bams on the quarters. You will need a little square key to open the case doors. The movement, with the W and H stamp, ticks briefly but will need cleaning. Ht 10"
