Brewster and Ingrahams, 8 day, time and strike, Kirk's Patent Iron back plate beehive shelf clock, c1845 Mahogany veneered case in an old and possibly original finish with some minor veneer chips on the base. Painted dial has some loss to the numbers and minor paint loss at the winding abors. This is a heavy sheet iron dial of a type you would not expect to find in this style case which makes one wonder if this dial is a later replacement. The original hour hand has become detached from its sleeve and will need repair. Minute hand is original also. Iron back plate rack striking movement is signed. Nice etched glass tablet. Clean label inside case. Ht 19".
