Winterhalder and Hofmeier, Schwarzenbach, Germany, triple tune, rolling moon tall case clock time and quarter chime on 9 tubes with option for Westminster, Whittington, or Winchester chimes + silent lever The movement is 8 day and has a three jar mercury pendulum housed in an elaborately and ornately carved mahogany case with well carved male and female figures flanking the hood and trunk and with gargoyles on the base on claw feet, and wtih moon phase dial. c1900 the impressive case retains its original finish, the feet have been removed for transport. The mercury is about 50% the level it should be but is present and the jars are stained but should clean up. The dial is slightly darkened. Ht 99"
