Mr. Wasserman was one of the most discriminating collectors in the Eastern US, and this clock certainly reflects his desire for both quality and originality. Details on this model can be found in all editions of Tran Ly's book titled "Seth Thomas Clocks and Movements", with extra info in the 3rd Edition, pages 287--289. Clock retains original pulley, nickel plated weight with knurled ends and mercurial type pendulum with thumb-print jar; glass jar with small chips on top edge and one at bottom. Original silvered dial retains original matte finish, never re-silvered, and with some tarnish spots, especially near numeral "V", and the reverse with original lacquer and brushed spotting. Using the earlier nickel plated movement of outstanding quality, this and the mov't for the Regulator 12 are perhaps of the finest quality produced by Seth Thomas, jeweled pallets, maintaining power and fine beat adjustment. Note this case has been cleaned, and retains all is original light crazing to original finish, with all original trims and decorations. Outstanding original condition with inside label intact.
