The gilt metal ball has a metal dial around the center. The hours are in Roman Numerals and the 15 minute breakdown is in Arabic numbers. The time indicator is a small arrow that is stationary. On both ends there is a carved ivory finial. The top one has a suspension rod through it to the movement. The ball is suspended from a brass plate. Not tested. (The gilt finish on the ball has a couple of blemishes.) Ball - 5" Diameter; Brass Plate - 23 3/4" Long
