With an anchor or recoil escapement movement and an alarm. Two hammers are used on the one bell for striking the time and the alarm. The pressed brass dial has a pomegranate in the lower corners. Above the dial is a scene with a windmill, buildings plus moon phase. In a rosewood and veneered case. These clocks are sometimes referred to as Dutch Hoods. They were also made in surrounding countries and can date anywhere up to the 1870's. Not tested. (The applied decoration over the lower window is missing. The dial has darkened.)
