There is an old dry finish, with nicks and scratches, on this ornate case, and it retains its original carved crest. The top of the case needs to be reglued to its sides, the front glass is replaced, the white porcelain beat scale is fine. The engraved brass dial, pulleys pendulum bob and weight shells have an old patina. The movement, with maker and Medaille D'Or stamps, is serial number 752842, and it ticks and strikes properly on a single gong rod. Ht 50"
