Brown) Bristol, Conn., "Ogee" mantel clock, 8 day, time and gong strike, weight driven movement in mahogany veneer case with silk screened lower tablet depicting unusual scene of Boston Harbor and painted wooden dial signed "J.C. Brown Bristol, CT. U.S.", c1850 the case retains its original finish. The lower tablet is original and in very good condition with very minor flaking depicting an active sailing / boating scene on Boston Harbor. The label is excellent with a scene of the Forestville factory. Ht 28 1/2"
