Tiffany and Co., New York, French black slate Drumhead style mantel clock, spring powered eight day time and strike movement signed Tiffany and Comp., striking the hours and half hours on a bell, fluted cylindrical case supported by scrolls on a molded rectangular base, decorated with shallow carving, the scrolls with volutes, gilt bezel with beveled glass, black slate dial with engraved Roman numerals finished with gold, polished brass hands, c1880 Case excellent with a few very minor flakes, can only be detected on close examination, good polish, original movement with power to the escapement and strike train, strike hammer broken from its boss, bezel cleaned to brass, with inner trim retaining bright original gilding, glass excellent, dial and hands excellent.
