Brown, Bristol, Conn., "Miniature Beehive" mantel clock, 30 hour, time and strike, spring driven movement in a mahogany veneer case with silk screen lower tablet and painted metal dial; tablet of Hartford, CT state house (still standing), c1850 the case retains its original finish, nicely rubbed down with minor veneer flakes on bottom return moldings and a 1 3/4" x 1/4" strip of wood missing from top rear of case. The original ivory door pull is in good condition. There is some touch up on dial. The lower tablet with some flaking. Ht 15 1/2"
