Quarter sawn oak case in an old finish in fairly nice condition for its age with some minor issues such as split in the top of the backboard now held together with metal and wood cross strips. Case most likely had feet now missing. The capitals and base on the wood columns on the hood are now gold painted, but overall a nice case. This dial and movement are married to this early 1800's country English case. The dial has been nicely cleaned and restored. The movement is clean and complete with a pendulum and weights. Usually a Wagstaffe movement would be found in a higher style Philadelphia (or London) case. Ht 84 1/2".
