Oak case that may have been refinished a long time ago is the current finish has a lot of age or someone applied some dark varnish stain on the case as there is evidence of dark areas on the top and bottom and this dark finish was later stripped off. The bottom drop finials appear to be replacements. Original painted dial has small areas of paint loss and inpainting. Hands are original. Movement is signed. Ht 40".
