the case retains its original finish, nicely rubbed down with one replaced sidearm. There is touch up to the chapter ring on the dial. The throat tablet has an old restoration to the background color and the lower tablet appears original. The old eagle finial and old minute hand may be replacements. Included is an appraisal by antiques dealer Peter J. Sawyer of Exeter, NH for $25,000. Overall a nice early banjo. Ht 34"
