English, 8 day, time and strike, Westminster chime 3-train chain drive fusee movement bracket clock retailed by Bigelow, Kennard and Co., Boston, c1900 Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in very fine condition in an old and possibly original finish. Composite brass dial has some wear and tarnish to the slow/fast and strike/silent dials and tarnish on the main chapter ring. The silvered dial surround has tarnished areas. There is loss of the gilding on the fluted columns and the decorative covers on the feet. Hands and finials are original. The case houses a large heavy plate chain drive fusee movement chiming on round gongs and striking the hour on a single gong. Ht 19".
